Distillation

Distillation is part of the procedures and solutions developed by INTERIS. In fact, new distillation technologies consist in energy coupling with multiple effects or by integrating thermo-ejectors or by mechanical steam recompression.
INTERIS technology is also based on the use of an additional column enabling to decrease the wash quantity increasing the necessary steam quantity.

• Installed capacities from 82 000 l/d to 950 000 l/d.
• Vacuum or pressure running of the columns.
• Small footprint.  Stripping part and rectifying part integrated : Raw Alcohol production at high yield 93% vol.
• Multiple extractions possibilities to get the expected quality.
• Independent or superposed columns according to the chosen scheme and climatic conditions (wind and earthquake).

• Low pressure steam : optimal use of the turbines in congeneration units.
• Distillation at low temperature : decrease clogging and cleaning frequency and production time is maximized.
• Self-supporting columns : only 2 framing levels needed.
• Specific schemes for use of high pressure steam with “CHACOUX”, multi-nozzle thermos-ejectors, INTERIS design.
• Integrating of trays / structured packing of last generation : enhanced unit performances.
• Energy coupling with dehydration units, spent wash or stillage concentration and drying units.
• Lower spent wash or stillage quantities to be treated : energy savings and steam consumption decrease.
