DDGS production goal is to valorize a by-product to high added value animal feed.
INTERIS technology includes 4 steps:
- Separation: the centrifugal decanter separates thin stillage from the solids (cake).
- Concentration: an evaporation unit to produce a syrup concentrates the thin stillage containing proteins.
- DDGS drying: the cake and the syrup are mixed and dried in a drier. The DDGS go out dried and powdered.
- DDGS pelletizing: powdered DDGS are pelletized to increase the density and reduce the transport costs.
